In the USA and Canada  sales are forecast to soon exceed conventional ‘travel trailers’. Acceptance is also rapidly growing in Australia and New Zealand. Some advantages are immediately obvious. Because a bedroom is typically built over the elevated drawbar, a fifth wheeler provides at least a quarter more space for the same overall length as a conventional caravan and towing vehicle.
